Collecting your Child

Collecting your Child

Dear Parents,

We would just like to remind everybody of the important points about collecting children at 12pm.

Collection

We ask the children to sit at their table until the person coming to collect them comes down to them. Can you please walk down to your child’s table instead of having your child run up to you at the door.

This is important as by regulation we need to know who has collected each child.

Please do say goodbye to us as you leave as this helps us to remember who your child has left with.

If you want to have a chat with your child’s key adult can you hang back until most of the children have been collected as staff need to supervise children being collected.

Authorised Person to Collect

If someone other than parents is collecting your child then this person must be designated by you on the parent’s contract. (You can add/remove names from the form during the year). This authorised person must be introduced to Margaret and staff for identification purposes before they collect the child. It would be helpful to send in a passport size photo of the person.

When an authorised person comes to collect a child for the first time or collects only occasionally, then that person must introduce themselves to Margaret at the front door and to the staff in the rooms before collecting the child.

Please advise your authorised person of these points before they come to collect.

Thanks & regards,

Margaret
