Dear Parents,
We are just planning some events and trips for the last term of pre-school. This is always the most interesting and exciting term of the year as we take our learning out into the community. So here are some dates for your diary, as usual we are looking for volunteers but don’t feel obliged to volunteer for everything – whatever you can manage. Please note that trip to Cullentra Farm and Down Syndrome Fundraiser are still in planning process so you will get more confirmation about them if they go ahead.
Monday 22nd May (Rainbow & Ribbon Rooms)
Trip to Library in Trim by bus – 9.30 to 12.30. Rainbow Room and Ribbon Room
(Suggested ratio – at least 1 adult to 3 children – at least 12 volunteers needed). Volunteers cannot bring younger siblings.
Tuesday 30th May (Rainbow & Ribbon Rooms)
Visit to Longwood National School – 9.15 to 11.00)
(Suggested ratio – 1 adult to 5 children to walk children down to school at 9.15 (4 volunteers needed) and for adults to return at 10.45 to walk back (at least 4 volunteers needed))
Thursday 8th June (Green Room)
Teddy Bear’s Picnic in the Green– 10.00 to 11.00am. Green Room. If you don’t normally attend on Thursday, you are welcome to bring your child to the picnic. The area will be fenced of so it is OK to bring younger siblings also.

NOT YET FINALISED During week starting Monday 12th June Trip to Cullentra farm (Rainbow, Ribbon and Green Rooms)
We are hoping to arrange a trip to Cullentra farm. More details to follow if it goes ahead. (Suggested ratio at least 1 adult to 3 children- at least 12 volunteers needed)
Tuesday 13th June – Parents information night 7.30pm
We will hold our parents information evening. I strongly urge anybody whose child is coming in September to attend this as there is always new information to be gained as sometimes we change how things operate.
Wednesday 21st June – End of year parents visit day / performance
Green Room – 9.15am
Rainbow Room – 11.00 am
We invite parents to a small performance, cup of tea/coffee and a chat to mark and celebrate the journey of 2016/17 that’s coming to a close
Thursday 22nd June – End of year parents visit day / performance
Ribbon Room – 11.00am

NOT YET FINALISED Saturday 24th June – Ice Cream Party Down Syndrome Ireland (Fundraiser)
We are hoping to run a fundraiser for Down Syndrome and we are currently working out insurance and logistical issues. So watch this space.
Last day of pre-school is Wednesday 28th June
