Visit to Trim Library….
As part of learning about our community and with the hope of sowing a seed for a future love of books, we would like to take the children on an outing to Trim Library. Maebh, in the Library is going to facilitate us for the morning: the plan is for her to talk about her job and what happens in the library and read some stories. The children can then choose to look at books or do some puzzles, colouring or board games. If anybody has a library card and wants to bring it to take out a book – we can do that. We’ll then have our snack in the secured garden at the back of the library.
Also, if anybody wants to join the library I have some application forms that you can fill out and bring in on the day.
The date is Tuesday 26th of May. We plan to leave Longwood at 9.30am on a bus (the excitement!!!) and be back in time for 12.00pm. There is a cost of €5 to cover the bus.
I will have permission slips ready next week, if you could please return with the €5.00 if you would like your child to participate.
We need parents to volunteer to maintain the adult child ratio of 1:3 to accompany us on the bus and in the library. Please let me know by text if you are available to volunteer. We will not be able to accommodate other siblings on this occasion.
Thanks Margaret & team…
